Fitting in With the Family

As the new guy in the office, I was amazed at how close knit the team was. I knew coming into the ROK & RBM office that it was an independent family run business – hence the owner’s children inspiring the names – but it’s endearing to see how the employees reflect those family values in the normal working day.

There is a lot of love and respect between each employee and a happy team is a successful one. They work as a well-oiled machine from first contact, right up to the end of the process, whether it is sales, lettings, or mortgages and you can tell that they all strive to provide the best level of customer service possible.

As they have all worked together for quite some time, there is the perfect mix of office banter and productivity with each enquiry being dealt with professionally and promptly.

I’ve worked in a fair few offices in my 9 year journey within the industry and not all of them would have had my full confidence if I’d needed to buy/sell/mortgage, but seeing the team here fills me with the hope that there are good estate agents/mortgage advisors out there, you just need to do a bit of searching!

As the latest adopted little brother for some and big brother for others, it’s my job to integrate with the team and find my place in this family.

Will I be the caring and protective older brother, or tease them mercilessly as my brother did when I was younger? Only time will tell…
